The full impact of Nike’s Olympic ambush has hit in the wake of the games… Through the use of a consistent visual identity (those ubiquitous neon green track & field shoes) and the subversive yet empowering “find your greatness” ad campaign, Nike effectively stole the show from Adidas… and with much more targeted ROI.

This doesn’t work for me; the McLobster product isn’t targeting McDonald’s typical customer, and hopefully the that customer is fully aware that this is the opposite of how McDonald’s harvests lobster…. It’s tantamount to false advertising, and offensively mis-representing the ethical/environmental decisions of the brand— I’m willing to accept some of those decisions, as long as they don’t try and paint the product as being lovingly collected off the coast of some small Scandinavian village
I would have be up to try the McLobster, but this just pisses me off.
SELL THE SIZZLE, NOT THE LOBSTER, AND NOT A BLATANT LIE.
